Our team is absolutely key to the fantastic customer service that we deliver at Nisyst. We recently caught up with Kalpesh Taratiya, Project Manager, to chat about some of his highlights over his past 18 years with Nisyst and what the future holds.

Q: What are your highlights over the past 18 years at Nisyst?

 

A: It’s hard to believe I’ve been with Nisyst for almost two decades! During my time at Nisyst, I’ve worked in hardware and support departments – including configurations. A highlight of mine was testing customer data prior to our installations and any new software we have developed. I was the Helpdesk Manager at Nisyst since 2013 and have always been satisfied with managing any escalations and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner to maintain great relationships with our clients and customers.

 

Q: What are your main areas of expertise gained whilst working at Nisyst?

 

A: During my time at Nisyst, I have built technical knowledge of various terminals, machines, and peripherals. I’ve built my awareness of the EPoS software, other modules associated with the software and helped to make suggestions and recommendations where it can be improved to satisfy customer needs. I enjoy sharing the knowledge I’ve gained to provide software training and to lead the helpdesk team.

 

My role includes strong communications such as phone and in-person support, troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and helping to define an escalation process with other departments in the company. I enjoy thinking outside the box and generating new solutions to complex problems.

 

Q: What does your new role entail as Project Manager?

 

A: In my new role, I plan and implement projects and detail any tasks which we need to determine the required resources needed. I also create schedules for ongoing projects and define timelines so we can make sure all our clients are highly satisfied. It’s important that I support and direct our helpdesk team to monitor how our projects are progressing and solve any problems that we might have to lead on quality assurance.

 

Q: What is most exciting about Nisyst’s plans for the year ahead?

 

A: We’ve had a good start to the year so far at Nisyst as we recently won the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award at the Charity Retail Association annual awards! Our CHARiotWeb cloud-based solution is working very well with increasingly more clients signing up to it and it’s nice to see our existing customers migrating over too. Nisyst has recently expanded in various departments within the business, so it’s great to see our team growing and going from strength to strength.

 

Q: What do you think stands out about Nisyst in the industry?

 

A: I think the customer service at Nisyst stands out as the entire team’s values align and we all want to put our customers at the fore. I also love that it’s a family run business. Our helpdesk team is very friendly, and our EPoS and charity GA solution is also easily operated.

 

Q: What do you get up to outside of work?

 

A: When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, at the gym and walking outdoors. I also like to go shopping, travelling, and watching various sports on TV and live.
