Leading provider of charity retail EPoS solutions, Nisyst, has helped St Peter’s Hospice raise £11,000 for their latest campaign and increase Gift Aid conversions by 5% with their specialist EPoS solution, ChariotWeb.
St Peter’s Hospice is an adults-only hospice which provides specialist end-of-life care for patients across Bristol and the greater Bristol area.
The hospice has been a customer of Nisyst since 2015 and uses ChariotWeb across their retail estate. The specialist EPoS system is used to support their retail operations with features including Gift Aid declarations, income reporting, volunteer safety and stock control.
In early 2026, St Peter’s Hospice began looking for new ways to raise awareness of the hospice’s reach because their data showed that patients are referred to them, on average, only 44 days before their death.
They wanted to increase income to support more timely patient referrals and therefore introduced the campaign ‘44 Days of Light’.
The hospice wanted to encourage customers to round up their purchases at the till by 44p and needed a simple way to implement a bespoke and consistent donation prompt across their retail estate.
“It was great that ChariotWeb already had the functionality St Peter’s Hospice required for their campaign. By using the integrated round-up feature, St Peter’s Hospice were able to create a bespoke 44p donation prompt at the till. This created a seamless experience for both customers and staff – and resulted in an extra £11,000 raised!” says Bob Chunilal, Managing Director of Nisyst.
Alongside their campaign, St Peter’s Hospice also sought to increase their Gift Aid conversion rate by making donor registration faster and easier for both customers and volunteers.
To help St Peter’s Hospice build on their already strong Gift Aid performance, Nisyst recommended for them to implement QBuster – Nisyst’s own mobile donor registration app which integrates seamlessly with ChariotWeb.
The QBuster App replaces traditional paper donor forms with a digital registration process and allows charities to capture donor signatures, complete Gift Aid declarations and process bag drops quickly and easily.
The introduction of QBuster allowed St Peter’s Hospice to reduce staff admin while ensuring fewer Gift Aid opportunities were missed, which ultimately increased the hospice’s Gift Aid conversion rate from 35% to 40%.
“QBuster helped us increase already strong Gift Aid conversion rates, while making donor sign up faster and easier for shop teams” says John Broomhead, Commercial Director at St Peter’s Hospice.
